Try repairing your installation. Please keep in mind, Office is no longer a supported product on Windows So, you might want to consider upgrading to a more recent release. How satisfied are you with this reply? Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site.
DaveM Independent Advisor. Rohn MVP. For some reason Office does not think your default version of Office is One is that you have an application from another version of Office installed. The other is that Windows is sometimes a little stupid, and it does not give itself the right access rights to save your configuration.
Look through the list of installed programs to see if you have ANY office programs that are not installed. If you don't need it, uninstall it, otherwise you will have to use the NoReReg tip Dave gave you.
